Irrigation Technician

TCOS is looking for an experienced Irrigation Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial irrigation systems for our accounts. This role involves a variety of tasks, including troubleshooting, programming controllers and ensuring optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

System Modification: Modify irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, valves, and piping.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking water pressure, and inspecting for leaks.
Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning irrigation components, including pumps, controllers, and wiring.
Programming: Program irrigation controllers to optimize water usage and plant health.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with irrigation systems, such as low water pressure, uneven coverage, and broken components.
Winterization: Prepare irrigation systems for winter by draining pipes and blowing out lines to prevent damage from freezing temperatures.
Documentation: Use 1 Spot software to document completed work and maintain accurate records.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of commercial irrigation experience.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of irrigation system components, hydraulic principles, and water conservation practices.
Skills: Ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and operate various irrigation equipment.
Certifications: Valid driver’s license (DL or CDL) is required.
Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with customers, supervisors, and team members.

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
